Who are we?
Dublin based shoegaze quartet DREAM BOY are a female dominated group, with a fresh and contemporary approach to shoegaze. Their sound is a captivating blend of dreamy melancholy- featuring haunting vocals, wistful harmonies, and walls of reverb-drenched guitars.
DREAM BOY’s tracks feature introspective and honest lyrics exploring the complexities of dreaming. Their dark and immersive soundscapes draw listeners into a gritty, hazy world, ‘with a sense of the cinematic’ (ChordBlossom, 2024), that lingers long after the music fades.
Blurring the lines between shoegaze and dream pop, DREAM BOY have been making waves, with a series of standout releases in 2025, earning attention from media outlets such as Golden Plec, District, Farout & Still Listening Magazine.
Known for their ethereal live presence, the band have joined notable lineups, alongside the likes of Twen, Nothing, Florence Road, Wombo and Alien Chicks, gigging across Ireland and the UK. In 2025, DREAM BOY were selected as one of All Together Now and IMRO’s Perform Together acts and showcased at Ireland Music Week in October of 2025.
Their most recent single ‘purple’ received airplay on RTÉ 2FM, Dublin City FM, Radio Nova and Radio X, and was featured on So Young's ‘The So Young List’.
